“The symbolism used in the biennium logo is the acorn and an oak tree. Acorns appear only on adult trees, and so are considered a symbol of patience and the fruition of long, hard labor. The oak is considered by some to be the mightiest of trees and symbolizes strength and courage. As the oak tree is so firmly planted and deep-rooted, it also symbolizes permanency. We have begun planting our seeds of improvement by passing the budget necessary to go forward with the branding project. Altrusans have the strength and courage to do what needs to be done to insure the permanency of Altrusa. “ Donna C Johnson, President |
